I trained as a vascular surgeon — but I’ve always been drawn to the parts of the work that textbooks don’t cover well. The decision at the margins. The case that doesn’t fit the algorithm. The moment you have to explain uncertainty to a patient and mean it.
I’m a CCRISP Instructor, an M&TT graduate, and the founder of a vascular database built for public education. I’ve spent years teaching — and the more I teach, the more I believe that clarity is a clinical skill, not just a technical one.
